Study title: En Week Tijd
Collector: Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau
When conducted: 5-18 October; 1/2 completed Sunday to Saturday 5-11 October; other half completed diaries Sunday to Saturday 12-18 October
Sampling method and study design: Two-stage sample: (1) stratified random sample of 4,200 addresses drawn from 300 regional clusters in the Netherlands; (2) random walk to addresses to obtain final sample, all persons aged 12+ in sampled households given diaries, one week diaries, 15 minute time slots; pre-coded activity list. The time use data have now been linked to weather data to allow for examination of how weather patterns influence time use
Sample size: 3,158 individuals aged 12+ (half this sample given a more extensive questionnaire on radio listening, and television viewing habits)
Response rate: 6,484 persons selected in original sample; 3,158 (49%) provided complete, useful data
